Perfect for
To a limited extent, shipments are insured by default. Different terms & conditions apply to shipments within the Netherlands versus international shipments. Make sure you understand them.
Shipment insurance
We are realistic and transparent regarding the agreed delivery time. Even when deliveries need to be made outside of office hours, on weekends, or on public holidays. Because for us, Always On Time is not a challenge, but a promise.
Nationaal — AVC-voorwaarden
For national shipments, we apply the General Conditions of Carriage (AVC). Under these conditions, the carrier’s liability is legally limited.
Default AVC limit
Example: a shipment of 10 kg with a value of €500 → maximum compensation for loss/damage = € 34. The difference of € 466 is not covered without additional insurance.
- Applies to all carriers and couriers in the Netherlands
- Coverage is based on weight, not value.
- Packaging damage not covered by standard AVC
- Fragile or valuable goods: additional insurance is always recommended.
International — CMR Convention
To international road freight, the CMR Convention applies (Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road). This limits on the liability of the carrier.
Default CMR-limit (2026)
- Applies to all EU countries and many non-EU countries
- SDR value fluctuates slightly with exchange rates (IMF determined).
- Air freight & sea freight: other treaties (Montreal/Hague-Visby)
- High-value shipments: additional insurance required for full coverage.

When is a combo vehicle the best choice?

What is the difference between FCL and LCL in sea freight?
The difference between FCL and LCL in sea freight is that FCL allows you to have an entire container to yourself, whereas with LCL you only pay for the space your goods occupy in a shared container.
